Client Spotlight #1 - 3 key steps he took & that you can too.

I’m going to walk you through the 3 things that Charlie did and how you can do them as well.

Charlie was an online client of mine for 1.5 years but you don’t NEED to have a coach to do this.

Let’s hop into how you can start making progress on your own!

#1 You need a Workout Plan/Schedule

This is step 1 for a huge reason.

So many of my online clients come to me saying that they go to the gym and just do random workouts.

They’ll see something on Instagram or TikTok, or they’ll see someone in the gym doing something and they’ll copy that.

Exercising is great but doing random workouts is only going to yield random results.

Every time Charlie walked into the gym he knew exactly what exercises he was doing & how many sets/reps for each.

Key #1 is to get or make a plan to execute inside of the gym.

#2 YOU NEED A NUTRITION PLAN

You DON’T need a strict meal plan, restrictive diet, or a fad diet.

but you DO need a plan for how you are going to manipulate your nutrition to achieve your goals.

All Charlie did was track his total daily calories & protein, that’s it.

He ate foods he enjoyed (pizza/wings/sushi/bagels) and that fit inside his goal range for both calories & protein.

He didn’t track every macronutrient and he didn’t eat chicken, rice, & broccoli 6 times a day.

You don’t have to either.

At first, he ate in a calorie surplus to optimize muscle growth & then we went into a calorie deficit to shed fat and show off his hard work.

We didn’t have to incorporate any diet breaks or refeeds because he often had times on the weekend where he overate a little bit.

This is pretty normal with clients so you should expect it for yourself sometimes as well.

Now let’s move on to step 3, the glue that holds it all together.

#3 You need to have accountability & make adjustments when needed

Some people get frustrated/upset when they hit a plateau and end up going off track or temporarily giving up.

This is why it’s so important to have something/someone holding you accountable & there to adjust when necessary to stop plateaus and continue the flow of progress.

A way you can create accountability without a coach is by posting it for the world to see.

Tell Instagram/Snapchat/TikTok (whatever social media you want) that starting today you’re going to use your social media story as accountability.

Yes, that can be scary, but It’s a way of creating accountability for yourself.

When Charlie hit a weightloss plateau we took a look at his consistency with nutrition/training.

If it was 80-90% consistent with our plans we’d lower calories a bit or add in small amounts of cardio.

If he had a weekend where he went over a little bit we just dialed in the consistency to keep progressing.

& Those are the 3 Key things you need to focus on to reach your body composition goals!
